The S3 Plan & Review design is currently under audit before implementation begins.

Bitcoin products often expose the structure of the system and ask people to translate their goals into it. PRIM begins from the other direction: the person starts with an outcome, and the product carries it into Bitcoin.

Complexity belongs where the product can handle it responsibly. Control, consequences, and verification remain visible to the person using it.

The experience can be clear without turning Bitcoin into a black box.

  • Lead with the goal

    A person starts with an action or outcome. Protocol vocabulary appears when it helps understanding or verification.

  • Keep agency close

    PRIM is being shaped as local-first Bitcoin infrastructure, keeping control close to the person using it.

  • Build on established tools

    Selected components from the Bitcoin Dev Kit suite provide part of PRIM's Bitcoin foundation.

03 — Roadmap

From a working loop to a sovereign product

PRIM advances through gates. Each gate adds a clear layer of product capability before the next one begins.

  1. Current gate Sandbox

    Prove the core Bitcoin product loop and the people-first model in working slices.

  2. Gate two Self-Custody

    Make local operation durable and recoverable, with the safeguards required for self-custody.

  3. Gate three Hardened

    Add security assurance, hardware support, and the safeguards required for demanding self-custody conditions.

  4. Gate four Collaborative

    Bring other people into signing, continuity, recovery, and long-term stewardship.

  5. Gate five Sovereign

    Complete the standalone product with its advanced privacy, signing, and multi-device paths.

    Bring receiving, observing, and understanding Bitcoin activity into the working loop.

    Shape how a person plans a payment, understands its consequences, and approves it with confidence.

  4. Next S4 — Sign & Broadcast

    Complete the Sandbox loop from reviewed intent to a signed and broadcast Bitcoin transaction.
